During a trip through Europe in spring 2013, the first adventure on our itinerary was driving around the southern tip of Iceland, exploring the country’s truly otherworldly landscapes. If you’re planning a trip to Iceland, I highly highly recommend getting a car or RV and touring around. No better way to see the country, in my opinion. After just a few days, we fell in love with it all.
We saw incredible things — from sprawling ice sheets like the one pictured above to towering volcanoes.
I am dying for the day when we can go back to explore more of Iceland, and someday we will, but for now, pictures will have to quell my wanderlust 🙂
brrrrrr…..h.h.h.h….rr…….looks a bit chilly there…..

Oh man it was SO cold! We were ill equipped with just rain coats and sweaters, but it was worth it! 🙂

Looks fabulous though…reminds me of my own country, New Zealand, in the south, bleak and soul searching! A place to face yourself!
